Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake

Summer! I've never appreciated the summer heat more than I have after living through my first Midwestern winter last year. Record breaking cold and snow is pretty hard for a SoCal girl to come to terms with. Let's just say that I rediscovered the meaning of drinking a cup of hot chocolate and snuggling in a warm blanket on a rainy snowy day. So now that the sun is out again, I decided to make the most of these hot days (and S's chocolate obsession) by making this mint chocolate chip ice cream cake.

Hiatus

Hello everyone. As you may have noticed, I haven't been making any new blog posts for... quite some time now. Well I had some pretty huge life changes that kind of kept me occupied.

I'm so happy to announce that S and I welcomed a new addition to the family last year. We had a beautiful baby boy named Yusuf just in time to celebrate the new year!

Pink Ombre Rose Cake

Today I have to share a dilemma that many online bloggers go through. Actually, virtually anyone can  experience this problem. It's called losing your pictures. There are many ways to go through this - losing your camera, some sort of bug in your camera, or in my case, having your crappy laptop wipe out all the pics on your SD card. Yup, I just went through that today. My laptop erased a couple hundred of my photos on my SD card, including two new blogposts and pics from my recent trips to CA and IL. I'm sure I entered major depression today at least a couple times.

World Egg

I have a dear friend who is getting married soon. I've known this friend for as long as I can remember.

We were silly girls when we were younger. A hilarious childhood memory I share with her is when I went to her place for dinner and us girls shared the weirdest foods we liked to enjoy - noodles with ketchup, cheetos with ice cream, and lays with biryani (a rice dish). Of course, we had to try eating ice cream and cheetos after that. I don't remember what it tasted like any more (and frankly, I don't think I want to) but I remember that I had a blast.
